GOALS ("Get Outside And Learn Something") is a local nonprofit on a mission to teach kids how people & wild places can benefit one another. Using a curriculum designed by professional educators and experienced wilderness guides, GOALS leaders create the valuable connections for kids that today's hyper-electronicized lifestyles make difficult - to their peers, to their authentic self, and to the wild places that remain. Since 2010, GOALS has worked with kids from 4th grade through college on expeditions throughout the western United States and in Chile, Peru, and Nepal. 2023 expeditions are filling quickly - if you'd like to learn more or get involved, please join us at our upcoming "Get to know GOALS" night for the Evergreen community - held at 1220 Bergen Parkway, Suite 220 in the Bergen Village Shopping Center.
