Teacher Spotlight - Haley Gutierrez
Hello RMAE families!

My name is Haley Gutierrez, and this is my 3rd year teaching 1st grade at RMAE. I’ve been lucky enough to call Evergreen home since I was 10 years old - my family moved here from Alabama and we’ve been here ever since! 

When I’m not here at school, I am spending time with my family – my husband, David, and I have a 8-month-old girl named Charlee and a 7-year-old boy named Cayden, along with our dogs Oscar and Bella - and we’re usually enjoying the outdoors in some way. We like to off-road, snowboard, camp, paddle board…if it’s outside, we probably do it! I also love to read, which sometimes keeps me up past my bedtime because I’m too into a book to go to sleep. 

I am always on a quest to learn and grow, whether it be through adventures or gaining new knowledge!
 
Kindergarten finished their unit on Native Americans by making a Tepee activity in the STEAM Lab.

Family Summary of the January Board Meeting
The board reviewed the school's sound financial status, updates to Jeffco's enrollment policy changes, and the impact of a new medication bill.  In addition, middle-of-the-year testing data was reviewed which shows the school's strong academic test scores continue to excel. 
 
The next regular board meeting is on February 9th, 2023, at 6:30 PM, in The Den. Come join us and learn about all that is happening at RMAE.
RMAE Yoga Club with Julie Noyle MS, RD, RYT
Wednesdays 3:15-4:15pm
Six sessions starting February 8 and ending March 15 $60 registration for all six sessions

This class is intended for children ages kinder and up. This hour-long class is designed to teach children the foundations of yoga while gaining important mental and physical health benefits. Class will include guided breathing, individual practice, as well as partner poses. Come join the fun while learning healthy habits. See Flyer for sign up details. 
RMAE Robotics and Coding Club

After-school classes for grades K through 5: Projects for children are tailored based on their current level Wednesdays from 3:15PM-4:15PM from Jan 25 Tuition: $129/month; Registration $129: Discount code REGRMA for saving of $79 on Registration Fee

Drawing Club
Ms Riscoe is starting a Free drawing club for grades 3-5 starting on Thursday 1/26.

We can teach you how to draw stuff or we can do group challenges and independent challenges ( only 3 markers, draw from a hat ect)

You can bring your own materials or we can supply them (all materials borrowed must be returned).

The Evergreen High School VarsityPoms are hosting their annual Junior Poms Clinic on Jan. 27 from 4pm - 8pm at EHS. This is one of the team's most popular and successful events that includes dinner and a halftime performance!
