September 8th, 2021
Dear RMAE families,
Since last week there has been a lot of progress on our campus makeover.  The road retaining wall is complete and the grading is nearing completion.  As soon as we have a definite date of when we can begin using the road, we will send a messenger.  In that message, we will include what pickup and drop off will look like.  The foundation has been poured for “The Den” with the dirt backfill to begin later this week.  Next week we have several semitruck loads of SIPs and trusses.   This is all great news as it keeps the project moving forward.
The delivery time is perfect for the project but not ideal for Back-to-School nights.  Because of the delivery timing and the space it requires, we will not have any parking.  Thus, we will need to adjust.  As a result, our Back-to-School event will be virtual.  This is certainly not ideal; however, it is a small sacrifice to keep the project on time.  The good news is parent teacher conferences are only 2 ½ weeks away and those will be in person.
Back to School nights will be on Tuesday, September 14th, 6-7pm for grades K-5 and Wednesday, September 15th, 6-7pm for grades 6-8.  Zoom links will be sent by your child’s teacher.
I appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make strides to improve our campus and facilities for our students.
Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Ann Hudson
