Dear RMAE Families
If you have a few minutes to help us grow, we will say "thank you" with a volunteer hour for your family!
We are seeking testimonials on what brought you to RMAE, what you love most about RMAE and what you would like others to know about RMAE.
Please answer as many questions as you would like or add a testimonial in your own words. Your responses will help us bring other wonderful families to the RMAE community!
Thank you for your help!

Winter Weather Closure and 2-Hour Delay Procedures
As we approach the winter months and the possibility of delayed starts and snow days, we are writing to remind you of our inclement weather policies. RMAE will follow Jeffco Schools for closures and delays. Jeffco Public Schools rarely takes snow days or implements a delayed start time. We live in an area where snow is typical in the winter and unless the storm is extreme, school will not be cancelled. Parents and guardians can always make the decision to not send their children to school that day if they feel it is unsafe. Our schools are flexible with late arrivals and will always excuse a student absence when called in by a parent or guardian. Click here for more information on Jeffco school inclement weather policies.

Family Summary of October Board Meeting
Prior to October’s regular meeting, the board was treated to a tour of The Den construction site and nearly completed playground. It was inspiring to see the progress first-hand since we broke ground only four months ago. Your help is still needed to make The Den a reality. Please volunteer to assist the Capital Campaign with events, sponsorships, and other efforts to ensure the building is outfitted as a working gym with performance and classroom spaces! During our meeting, the board approved an adjusted budget for the current year, which always follows the October student count. While we remain in good shape for overall financial health, The Den project has necessitated withdrawing additional loan funds.
This highlights the importance of each and every family participating in the Annual Giving campaign. Each board member is committed to giving this year and every year. Remember, this is an annual fundraiser that is distinct from funding the new build. Rather it supports your children’s in-classroom experiences by funding things like technology, specials, and learning materials. Your participation is also a gauge of the health of our school community. Please give today!
Also during October’s meeting, we received an impressive report from our innovative and dedicated Student Council. The board continued work on our charter renewal, the application for which is due in early December. Finally the board adopted our 2021 Review of the current five-year Strategic Plan for 2018-2023. The results can be found here.
In closing, we want to acknowledge the additional hard work of RMAE staff to keep our students and families safe during the recent COVID outbreak. RMAE continues to be a leader in our safety measures. We thank everyone for their patience and participation. Keep up with the latest at https://www.jeffco.us/3999/Coronavirus-Disease-2019-COVID-19.
Please note the next Regular Board Meeting was moved from November 11 to Tuesday, November 16.
