About Us

Hello My Name Is...

Brooke Amen

I recently graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in elementary education and a minor in Disability Studies. During my college career I had the opportunity to live all over the world. I spent a few months teaching English in a small village in the mountains of Nepal and I completed my student teaching in rural New Zealand. However, I am originally from Evergreen and I am very excited to be back serving the community I grew up in.

When I am not in the classroom, I can usually be found outdoors. I am an avid skier and fly fisherman. I also love to travel and am constantly wanting to explore new places, cultures, and food.

I look forward to joining the RMAE family!

I am from Cheyenne, Wyoming and moved to Colorado during elementary school.  My husband and I had always wanted to move to the mountains, and were thrilled to realize our dream in December of 2017.

I originally went to Colorado State University to become a veterinarian.  After graduation with a Bachelor's degree in large animal biology and reproductive health, I re-entered school to study elementary education.  I received my undergraduate degree from University of Northern Colorado and my Master's degree in Science Education from Walden University.

I have been teaching since 2007, and look forward to the excitement each year!
