A Message from Dr Hudson,

Dear RMAE families,

I hope everyone enjoyed their fall break this past weekend! We will open next weekend with even more fun - Our PTO event organizers have planned a super entertaining and enjoyable Trunk or Treat event this Friday.

We have lots of families who have signed up to sponsor a decorated car. With that said, the more the merrier! We have more parking spots available this year to host a larger Trunk or Treat event which means there are still spots open. Please consider being a part of this RMAE tradition. (Donated candy is being collected in the front office). The weather forecast is indicative of late October in Evergreen - Sunny and cooler. Perfect for all our ghouls, goblins, witches, and other characters to come out for an evening of family fun!

In addition to the Trunk or Treating, there will be the Thriller dance put on by our middle school students, haunted games, and hot off the grill hotdog dinner for purchase. To add to the fun, our Student Council has been working extremely hard the past 6 weeks to host the traditional Haunted Hall. They have been creating costumes, props, and decorations to overhaul building 3 to be a version of Alice in Wonderland, er I mean Neverland…..

The fun begins at 4:30. I look forward to seeing you all there!

Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Ann Hudson
Teacher Spotlight - Jaye Scheid
My name is Jaye Scheid or Ms. Scheid as the kids call me.  This is my 7th year at R.M.A.E. and my 11th year as a teacher.  I currently teach second grade but I’ve also taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade in the past. There are many reasons why I love being a teacher but I especially cherish the relationships I make with my students, watching them grow, hearing the funny and cute things they say, and the fact that everyday is different. I’m also very passionate about teaching the “whole child,” celebrating everyone’s differences, encouraging my students to be lifelong learners, and teaching my students to be respectful and empathetic to others.

I am originally from Eau Claire, WI and went to college in Duluth, MN for Elementary Education.  After college I lived in Denver for about 5 years and have lived in Evergreen since 2016.  My husband, Adam, and I have been married for 7 years and we adopted our dog, Akela, almost 2 years ago.  In my spare time, I love hiking, camping, boating, skiing, listening to live music, and traveling to new places.
