Mark your calendars for the RMAE Spring Music Performances!
Spring is here, and our performance dates are fast approaching. The students and I are excited to share what we have been learning with our friends and families. Join us for a fun evening of music-making!
Monday, May 16th, 5pm: 4th Grade Performance
Tuesday, May 17th, 5pm: 5th Grade Performance
All performances will take place in the RMAE Cafeteria.
Attendance is mandatory!
If your family has an inescapable conflict on one of these evenings, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. Students are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled performance time and dress in black and/or white concert attire.
If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to help with the performances, let me know; we would love your help! As always, feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns.
Warm regards, Susanna Jacobson- sjacobson@rmae.org

Summer Camp at MEDLEN SCHOOL
Children who have completed at least grade 1 and up through grade 5 will have an opportunity to experience an authentic one-room schoolhouse in June at the Evergreen Mountain Area Historical Society’s Medlen School located on South Turkey Creek Road. Students will read from McGuffey readers, write with pen and ink, take part in a spelling bee, perform a part in a play, make hand-churned ice cream, make lemonade with real lemons and participate in other authentic activities of early Colorado rural children. There are two three-day sessions available: June 7-9 and June 14-16. The time of each is 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m, and the cost is $30. Registration can be made at jchscolorado.org. Space is limited so parents are encouraged to make their reservations soon.
