April 12th, 2022
Dear RMAE families,
With the beginning of April the end of the year activities begin to pick up.  There are many exciting things planned.  Please keep a close eye on the school calendar and weekly Growl newsletters for more information.
I’d also like to share some staff updates for next year.  While change can be a challenge, it is also an opportunity to incorporate fresh ideas and perspectives.  Mrs. Grose is leaving education to take on a different adventure.  Janelle Johnson who has vast experience in charter school administration will be joining us as Assistant Principal.  Mr. Bryant who has been with RMAE for 19 years is retiring.  Sev Gutierrez who has extensive experience in middle school science and hands on learning will be joining our team.
We are fortunate to have an amazing team of teachers and support staff who make our school stronger by the day.  Between them and our wonderful students and families, I look forward to a strong finish and exciting beginning.
Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Ann Hudson

Movies with Teachers – Deadline to purchase tickets is this Thursday
This fun and popular student event begins after school on Tuesday, April 19 and ends at 5:15pm. Cost is $10/child and includes the movie and a light snack. Students attending can wear PJs to school and bring a stuffed animal and blanket/pillow. Each movie has a maximum of 30 students allowed. More information and tickets available on AtoZ under Event Tickets. Please note: Tickets must be purchased by April 14 – no day of sales or switching of movies. All sales final.

Movies with Teachers Helpers - April 19 – Only 4 slots left!
Organize and distribute snacks, get kids to correct rooms, monitor room & hallways, help with pickup. 2:30pm-5:30pm *Given the "all hands-on deck" nature of distributing snacks and dismissal, all volunteers are expected to arrive at 2:30 and stay until the completion of pick up. Late arrivals and early departures create short-handed situations. Thanks for understanding.  Please visit AtoZ to sign-up.

April Core Virtue: Gentleness and Humility
Gentleness is treating others with kind words and mild manner.
Humility is avoiding the temptation to exaggerate our own abilities and underestimate those of others.
