This past quarter, 6th grade students have been learning about the history of robotic Mars exploration in Tech Class. Students were broken into small groups to research, design, and build a mars rover of their own. After working on the project for the entirety of 3rd Quarter, students presented their rovers to elementary students in a Robotic Open House.

Family Summary of March 10, 2022 Board of Directors Meeting
The big highlight of the March 10 Board meeting was definitely RMAE’s facilities. The Facilities Committee has been hard at work making the Den a reality. Not only does the outside look amazing, the interior is coming together and on schedule.
The Principal’s report also highlighted plans for the CMAS testing period, positive enrollment updates, and efforts to enhance our unique school culture. Similarly the Board would like to send our kudos to the RMAE Student Council for the upcoming carnival happening this Friday.
Finally we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting letters of intent from parents interested in deepening their support of RMAE, by running to be a new RMAE Board member:
Would you like to help our great school by serving on the Board of Directors? The Board is the policy setting and governing entity of RMAE, and meets at least monthly to discuss budgeting, achieving academic standards, strategic planning, and campus improvements. The Board will have two vacant parent representative seats to be filled for three-year terms beginning this summer. While all parents are welcome to submit their names for candidacy, the Board is particularly interested in candidates with previous involvement in RMAE committees, financial or accounting backgrounds, as well as parents of middle school students.
If you have interest, please submit a brief letter of intent by March 31 describing your background and outlining what you believe you can offer the school through Board service. The letter may be sent to the Board’s e-mail address at jrichards@rmae.org. Once the letters are compiled and reviewed, we will hold a public meeting in the evening of April 18 to interview and allow questions to be posed to the candidates. Details regarding the election date and process will appear in later Grizzly Growls.
We wish everyone a relaxing and safe spring break!
