Dear families,
A huge shout out to Michele & Scott Jones who accepted the Capital Campaign challenge and donated $25,000 towards the matching $50,000 from an anonymous donor.   If you or your company is interested in helping to complete the challenge, please click here.  All funds raised go directly towards the finishing touches of The Den.
Speaking of The Den, we remain on schedule with an anticipated opening this spring!  The dry wall is being completed inside and the layers of stucco on the outside.  We are waiting on Excel to complete the electrical and gas lines.  Once that is complete, the next phase is getting the donated HVAC equipment installed (another thanks to Kirsten Fisher and her company) and run the sewer line for the bathrooms.  When completed, this building will meet the needs of our RMAE community for many years to come!
- Enroll Jeffco is open for new students applications and returning  RMAE students
- Ski Club starts on Wednesday January 19!
- Details to order At-Home Covid tests
- Last day for February and 2nd Semester PTO Food Orders is January 20th
- Movies with Teachers is Feb 8th.
Ms Prouty's Class doing small group work last week.
A healthy January PTO coffee cart visit for staff last week!
The second graders STEM project last week was to make the tallest snowman out of paper, pencils, and tape.  They also earned a PJ and stuffy day for excellent behavior and hard work!
The Facility Manager would like to give a huge shout out to Julie and Mark Edmonds for helping out with sanding the switchback at the bottom of Royale Elk during a pretty nasty dismissal on Friday.
Thank you to all the families who have logged on to Enroll Jeffco and taken action for the 2022-2023 School Year!
For those who experienced technical issues, thanks for sticking with us. Your patience is appreciated. Our technical team implemented several fixes this week and our support team has been working to help resolve issues. We have a new troubleshooting guide to walk you through the enrollment process with links to support articles for any issues you might encounter along the way.
We ask that if you encountered the “multiple usernames/accounts associated with the same email address” error in particular, that you return to EnrollJeffco and follow the steps in this guide to complete the enrollment process.
If you are
experiencing any difficulties with Enroll Jeffco, please call the office and let Tiffany Fontaine know.

Family Summary of January Board Meeting
The RMAE Board of Directors continued its regular meeting schedule last week.  We received updates on STAMP programming, initial results of mid-year testing, and early indicators on enrollment.  We continued planning for Charter renewal, examining select policies for relevancy and consistency, and monitoring the school’s budget.  Student Council provided a report on their healthy budget and impressive planning for the Middle School Dance, and we congratulate them on the successful event!
Completing The Den continues to require the most significant effort.  RMAE is so fortunate to have assistance from PTO and its members, individual teachers, and even some Evergreen High School volunteers.  WILL YOU HELP?  To complete The Den in time for end-of-year events, please consider:
·       Donating or arranging a donation of in-kind trade work or materials.
·       Donating funds as part of the match challenge.
·       Calling business donors coordinated by the Capital Campaign team.
·       Planning a one-time fabulous fundraiser event.
