PARENTS AT WORK - SAFETY AND SECURITY (PAWSS) PROGRAM

The RMAE PTO is excited to launch the new parent-led PAWSS program on March 3rd and we need volunteers* to cover shifts for the duration of this school year (and hopefully beyond)!

The RMAE PAWSS program serves to enhance the safety and security of students, teachers, and staff while on campus by (1) providing an added layer of security to current campus security protocols while adhering to COVID-19 safety measures; and (2) aiding in the safety of students, teachers, and staff at multiple time points during the day, including prior to and during daily drop-off and pick-up, as well as midday. Also, volunteering for PAWSS will provide a means for families to earn volunteer hours to help them reach the 60 hour annual requirement!

Please read the attached document for volunteer information and guidelines (link) and contact the Program Chairs, Richele Newvahner (richele_n@hotmail.com) or Camar Diaz (camar.diaz@gmail.com), with any questions. Stay tuned for additional information in future Grizzly Growl newsletters and Classroom Coordinator emails on how to sign-up for shifts that begin on March 3rd!

Thank you so much for your interest in PAWSS and your commitment to the RMAE community!

*As required by RMAE, volunteers will require a background check to be conducted prior to their first PAWSS shift given it is an unsupervised security role.
