Parent Teacher Organization News and Information

The PTO Board is currently searching for a volunteer to fill the vacant PTO President position for the 2020-21 school year. Tiffany Fontaine has taken on a new role at RMAE as the Enrollment Secretary, this exciting move for her has required her to step down as PTO President. Tiffany has filled this role for the last 4 years at RMAE and will remain available to mentor the next president.

Tiffany, was recently asked what were the biggest benefits to being the PTO President, and her response was...

"First and foremost, the close relationships I have developed with the school's principal, assistant principal, office staff, teachers, and other parents has been the biggest benefit to being the PTO President. Getting the inside scoop on what is happening at RMAE and being 'in the know' is also a great perk. Finally, I feel that being the PTO President has benefited my children, and I have been a positive role model for them. My kids have developed a sense of pride and relish the fact that I am an active and important participant at RMAE."

RMAE Family Directory- In addition to the online directory in AtoZ Connect, the PTO publishes a family directory that is distributed to all paid PTO Members. To ensure the printed directory is as accurate as possible, please go into AtoZ Connect to verify and edit your contact information for the directory, including entering your student’s homeroom teacher. Help with AtoZ Connect can be found in the PTO Welcome Packet found on the RMAE website.

Please complete the verification wizard by Friday, September 25th, so we can print and distribute the directories in early October.

Giving Apple-  Each fall, the PTO coordinates a campaign for the staff that allows them to ask for items for their learning spaces that are outside of traditional classroom budgets.  In past years, families have been able to make some truly extraordinary contributions to their child's educational experience, including but not limited to-butterfly larva, alternative classroom seating, colorful room decor, numerous library additions, density testers and go motion sensors, a full set of ukuleles and even a desktop 3D printer!  Staff have been submitting their requests and they will be compiled in a live document sign up format and sent to families electronically.  Watch for links in our weekly "Growl" and through teacher email updates soon.  Items range in price from $10-$100+ so there is an opportunity for everyone to contribute. Any questions should be directed to Bre Boyle at, please do not submit questions to your teacher as some requests on their sign-up document may be from specials and office staff.
