About Me:

This is my twenty sixth year teaching. I received my teaching license and undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands and my Masters degree from California State University at San Bernardino in Environmental Education. My first three years teaching were in California, and then we moved to beautiful Colorado! I have taught second through sixth grade in the classroom, and additionally have taught outdoor education to preschool through adults. I also spent a semester as the Curriculum Specialist at Mount Evan’s Outdoor Laboratory School here in Evergreen. My family and I fell in love with Evergreen and decided to move here in 2011. In 2016, I was fortunate to find RMAE and I’m so happy to be teaching and living in our amazing mountain community! I enjoy the outdoors and spend my free time with family and friends biking, running, swimming, hiking, and camping.  This summer my husband and I celebrated our 26th Wedding Anniversary. Jon is an Environmental Health Specialist for Jefferson County Health Department. We have three teenage children: Destiny, DaShaun, and Anthony. We love our pets which include three dogs, chickens, a duck, and our class pet, Sir Jeffers the rat. I look forward to a great year teaching your children!
