About Ms. Urdahl

Hello friends! My name is Karissa Urdahl. This will be my third year as part of the RMAE family!

A little about me... I am originally from Montana, but I have lived in Colorado most of my life. I graduated from University of Northern Colorado in 2018, where I received my BA in Elementary Education. Over the course of my career, I have worked as a special needs para for Kindergarten students, taught first grade, and taught second grade (my favorite)!

In the summer, I enjoy working at ENOR Environmental Discovery Camp where I help students explore the outdoors, learn about nature, and develop survival skills. 

When I am not teaching, I cannot help but get distracted by the beautiful Colorado landscape. I love to go hiking, camping, and adventuring with my dog, Bubba and my fiance, Zack. I also enjoy reading, playing soccer, and relaxing in nature. Whenever I have the opportunity, I love traveling to see new places and spending time with my family.

I am so excited to have you in my class. We will learn so much and have fun in the process!
