Classroom News

3rd Grade -  Third graders take a trip back in time while visiting the Hiwan Homestead Museum.   They learned and experienced a little of what life was like in Jefferson County 150 years ago; making pueblo clay pots, grinding corn, etc.

4th Grade - After a Kick off assembly for our Mountain  Area Young Writers’ Conference, Theresa Howel, author of Maybe Something Beautiful, taught a writing lesson to fourth grade. She encouraged them to let their imagination go free and helped them spill their ideas all over their papers.  She challenged them to make their readers “see what you see in your brain.” “How cool is that?” she exclaimed as they played a guessing game with their writing.

Youth Art Month Reception at the Capitol - Jaden Best was recognized in the rotunda of the Colorado State Capitol as one of the student artists to have her art on display in Boston at the National Art Educators Conference this March. Congratulations!
